Upgrade path

Why upgrade from PA-850 to PA-1410

The PA-1400 Series delivers significant improvements in throughput, connectivity, and security capabilities over the legacy PA-800 Series platform.

Higher throughput capacity

PA-850 throughput is limited for modern branch traffic. PA-1410 delivers 8.5 Gbps firewall throughput for growing network demands.

Integrated PoE+ support

Modern Wi-Fi 6 access points require more power. PA-1410 includes built-in PoE+ ports, eliminating external power injectors.

Multi-gig port options

PA-850 provides 1G ports only. PA-1410 supports 1G/2.5G/5G multi-gig interfaces for high-speed device connectivity.

ML-powered security

PA-1410 runs the latest Precision AI and ML-powered security services for inline deep learning threat prevention.
